5 steps to add BNB to MetaMask

Step 2- Go to the "Network" page of MetaMask > select "Add Network" > enter the following details

Mainnet

  • Network Name: Smart Chain
  • New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/
  • ChainID: 56
  • Symbol: BNB
  • Block Explorer URL: https://bscscan.com

Testnet

  • Network Name: Smart Chain - Testnet
  • New RPC URL: https://data-seed-prebsc-1-s1.binance.org:8545/
  • ChainID: 97
  • Symbol: BNB
  • Block Explorer URL: https://testnet.bscscan.com

Step 3- now, the BNB icon will be available next to your BNB balance

Step 4- Now you can fund your wallet with one of the tokens based on BSC

Step 5- Here are the steps to do so:

  1. First, you need to open the MetaMask wallet on your device
  2. Go to the network menu and select Binance Smart Chain
  3. After that, select the "Import Tokens" option > "Import Custom Token"
  4. Followed by this, copy the BSC contract address by searching it through the web
  5. Cross-check if the correct token is detected ($CAKE) and finally select "Add Custom Token"

Whether you wish to add a $CAKE or $BAKE token to MetaMask, you need to first add Binance Smart Chain to MetaMask's "Network" section. Without adding the smart chain, you won't be able to store crypto tokens other than the Ethereum blockchain.
